These works were influenced through my interest in ancient Indian religion
and culture, this being Shaivism which appeared about 6000 BC. Shaivism
is characterized by worshiping the principle of life, whose symbol is the
phallus which is also the emblem of the Hindu god Shiva; Shaivite belief
is that humanity's sole hope of survival rests in the struggle for sexual
liberation.
Only the worship of the principle of life and its symbol the phallus can
bring down heaven's blessing on humanity, which is threatened by divine
wrath at a civilization whose ethics chose war, sexual repression, hypocrisy
and the persecution of love instead of happiness, joy and pleasure.
